If there is one regret I have about college, it is not taking more printmaking classes. The few I did enroll in were a great deal of fun, allowing me to explore a medium I had no prior exposure to. The entire process, from conception to execution, fascinated me, as well as the challenge of depicting complex subjects in a limited number of colors. I have always enjoyed the challenge of expressing an image in simplified forms, and learning how to manipulate my linoleum block to create positive and negative spaces in reverse was a thoroughly enjoyable education. Even if I no longer have the access to create prints properly, the style I learned to express in inks is one that comes through in my design aesthetic.
